MIDAS border information and capacity programme
In operation
IOM reported MIDAS installations at eleven Somali entry points in November 2014, within its migration-management support 1. The statement identified Norway and Japan as donors and acknowledged a need for institutional finance and administration. In 2021, IOM described further training addressing data exchange, configuration and operation at four named entry points 2. These reports establish deployment and continuing support, not a single nationwide commercial contract or verified current coverage. The 2014 project duration and donor description are not automatically applied to the separate 2021 activity, whose funding is not specified in the cited passage.
