Timeline

  1. 20 June 2023: Contraloría reported that Migraciones accepted and paid for the first delivery with defects in 675 booklets and eight laminate rolls. It said officials had not notified the contractor for timely rectification and had not applied delay penalties. it warned of risks in subsequent deliveries 1.
  2. 20 June 2023: Migraciones responded that the supplier had delivered 1,000 replacement booklets, including 325 extra, and 2,500 laminates on 16 June. It denied harm to the state or citizens, and said contractual penalties concerned delivery delays and manufacturing defects followed a replacement procedure. El Peruano reported that response. it is the buyer's position, not an independent audit clearance 2.
