Joint immigration and customs kiosks

In operation Status as of 14 May 2025 · Funding type: Not published

NEC announced an award for joint immigration and customs kiosks at Haneda Terminal 2 on 25 January 2024, with a pilot planned from 31 January. The equipment combines passport and Visit Japan Web QR-code information with biometric capture and shares information with the two agencies. 1 The Finance Ministry's 14 May 2025 briefing records full operation from April at Haneda, Kansai and Narita Terminal 3. That establishes programme rollout, but does not assign every later terminal installation to the original Haneda award. The reviewed records do not disclose its price or duration. 2
