Passenger Name Record collection and risk assessment
In operation
Australia's Department of Home Affairs collects passenger name records for international flight risk assessment under section 64AF of the Customs Act 1901 1. Its official guidance describes crime-related uses, privacy safeguards and disclosure conditions. Passengers can request access to or correction of their records 1. The page describes the public programme, not a supplier contract. It does not publish a vendor, procurement award, contract price or operating term. No assumption about private ownership or a passenger levy is made from the existence of PNR collection.
